Dr. Claudia M. Diaz offers tutoring at both high school and University levels.

Specialised in muscuolskeletal anatomy, head and neck anatomy and visceral anatomy.

Reputation for the use of innovative approaches to learn anatomy including the use of whiteboards, play doh and anatomical body painting.

Claudia is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher. 

She has 28 years experience teaching at 4 Australian Universities (Universities of Sydney, University of Newcastle, James Cook University and RMIT University). I was awarded an ALTC Teaching Award in 2011 for this work. She has earned a world-wide reputation for her Anatomical body painting and she is currently producing some of the best work in this area in the world. This work has been published in Australian newspapers including The Age, The Australian, The Townsville Bulletin, on radio, television and has received over 200,000 views on Youtube. 

She has great passion for teaching and her teaching philosophy entails providing students with a nurturing and motivating environment that will make learning both enjoyable and stimulating. She aims to produce pro-active, self-directed and life-long learners that will develop their skills and confidence as independent thinkers, problem solvers and self evaluators. She believes that her role as a teacher is not to teach students facts, but rather to teach them the learning skills that will serve them throughout their student and professional lives. She aims to take students from the traditional view of Biology/Anatomy/Science as subjects that requires surface learning (rote learning, memorisation) to ones that can lead to deep learning through understanding and the ability to place information into a broad, big picture which also makes it relevant to the students' realities. 

Claudia feels privileged to be in a position where she can continue to make a difference in the lives of future health professionals.

 

University Anatomy: Claudia can run individual, group or large classes.

Classes can run in person or online (Skype). 

Lectures will be provided through a Wiziq website.

High School Science: Claudia is available to tutor Year 11 & 12 Biology, Physical education or Psychology. Classes can run at your home or school.
